I find the photos of your Christmas decorations not only beautiful but also and especially very touching. I almost feel how they bring back good memories. Thank you for sharing! Wishing you a happy Christmas time!
I never had an amaryllis plant , Snap --it is so beautiful! I also enjoyed seeing your Christmas ornaments--many looks quite a bit like ones I have on my tree. I love ornaments that come with memories attached :)
I know you must miss Mr, Dragon very much. It's good that you keep Christmas alive in his memory and enjoy the company of others for the holiday--chili sounds good to me!
The amaryllis really is lovely. It's been years since I've had one. The holidays sure bring back memories of years past and those we miss. I'm glad you felt like decorating and hope you enjoy the holidays. Sending you some extra holiday hugs, Diane
I enjoyed walking with you through memory lane, what a sweet post! I do understand about putting up less and less. Today I saw a darling tree on a blog, all done in pink and thought how cute that would be in my bedroom! Then I "got real", what goes up, must come down! I'm glad you stopped by for a visit Behind the Garden Gate.
I'm glad you still decorate and hopefully have many happy memories when you bring out the Christmas decorations. That is a super amarylis, nice colour and big flowers. Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday Sharon.
Good to meet you, and thank you for visiting and leaving a lovely comment. I am following, added your blog to my list of blogs to visit again. Enjoyed your Christmas memories. Joy
I expect there are so many sweet memories in those decorations. Your Amaryllis is gorgeous Snap, thanks for sharing it, as well as your other beautiful decorations. Merry Christmas and A Very Happy New Year :)

I can't believe it's the fourth. It doesn't seem possible, but his light is shining as bright as ever in your heart. Tiny tree, us too, it seems enough and that's all that matter. Cute Santa at the door. xox
This is such a beautiful post. I love hearing about how other people celebrate Christmas. Your decorations are fun and filled with memories...those are the best kind. Merry Christmas, Snap!!
I think it's wonderful that you do whatever you feel like doing for Christmas décor. No pressure. Your amaryllis is very pretty. The little wander through memory lane was sweet. I wish you much joy this Christmas.
Hi Snap, I am so glad I came over for a visit. It's wonderful that you decorate for Christmas. It's such a wonderful time of year to reflect, remember, and give thanks for those we love. There is something magical about Christmas decorations. Don't stop decorating for Christmas. Don't stop displaying your wonderful decorations -- your wonderful memories. (BTW, my Mom's nickname is the Dragon Lady. She was born in the year of the Dragon and she is always in charge of whatever situation she is in.) Merry Christmas Snap.
Your Christmas spirit captures the season and shows the love. Your decorations are beautiful. I gave up growing amaryllis years ago when my mother in law picked on mine because it didn't have as many flowers as hers and wasn't as straight. Hurt my feelings so I never grew another one again. Oh well. Yours is beautiful and perhaps I should try again. Merry Christmas.
This is my fourth Christmas without Mr. Dragon.
The first two, I put up three trees, decorated inside and out.
I made pots of chile and had folks over.
In other words, I kept myself very busy.
Last year I put up two trees, decorated inside and out and made chile.
This year I put up one tree -- the smallest.
(My back and joints prefer one tree -- the smallest!)
I decorated outside and am still playing inside.
I always have a amaryllis.
This one is from Trader Joe's -- a good deal and pretty, too.

Santa is at the front door with his own tree waving at the neighbors as they go by.

This year I pulled some boxes filled with old decorations out of the back of the closet .
Fun and full of surprises and memories.
The little snowman has been on a Christmas tree since I was a very tiny child.
Scrooge reminds of the years we lived on Galveston Island.
Dickens on The Strand is held every year on the Island .. fun!

The Santa is from a set that was made by Sears many, many, many years ago celebrating different cultures and celebrations of Christmas.
"In Holland children believe that St. Nicholas rides on a beautiful white horse to deliver present on his feast day."
Gelukkig Kerstfeest
The church is a model of the Old San Ysidro Church in New Mexico.
A reminder of my 23 years in New Mexico.
New Mexico is also where I met and married Mr. Dragon.
