Funny how we do that, as women - not really see what is reflected back in the mirror for concentrating on the negative. I wish someone would invent a mirror that only let us see the positive...

I'm wondering if the young lady gazing into the mirror was seeing herself as others saw her? I hope she went out to seek romance; the dishes can wait.

The young lady is to one side: is that her mother's reflection, ans mom comes to her room to chide her?

I like the candle in this one.
Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!

This must be a take-off on the mirror-mirror story. What she sees in the mirror is enough to scare any beaux away!

Funny card. I have a theory that the reason our vision lessens as we age, is that what we see in the mirror is not as harsh as it is in actuality. Just don't put your glasses on before viewing!

I love this card. It sent me thinking back to my romantic days. Not a thought for how many dishes I have washed since! Glad I have a dishwasher though!

Delicious. The style of the illustration is like the one Windsor McCay used for The Adventures of Little Nemo.

Hello, dear friend,
I always enjoy seeing your amazing postcards. This one is very unusual. Yes, I am afraid those dishes are always waiting for us. I think I would rather choose romance, however. Are you enjoying this cooler weather in Central Texas? I sure am. Hope your weekend has been a happy one~love always~Vicki
