These are all lovely photos. I looked really hard over the weekend and even asked my mother, and I couldn't find a single teacup for a photo shoot. I need to hit the thrift store.
Hi Snap! Your tea cup is gorgeous. I know, Anthropologie is pricey, but your tea cup will be enjoyed for many soothing sips. I loved the words at the end of your post. Tea is magical! What a lovely group of friends I've met through sharing virtual cups of tea.
It's a sassy looking teacup Snap and was likely calling out to you. I'm interested in the book Earth Prayers you're showing. Have you done a review on it I can read? Judith
Hello Snap, Your teacup is really pretty and looks so nice with your collection of books. I enjoyed the tea quote too. I'm big on quotes, as you know. Thank you for sharing your pretty new teacup with us at Tea Time and have a lovely week.
What a wonderful teacup and saucer and the design by the New Orleans artist is spectacular. So many of the Anthropologie designs are fabulous and I know why this special teacup and saucer now resides at your home. I love how you photographed it on the books.
Oh I might have had to have that tea cup for the handle alone. It's so unique. Does the tea taste even better because of the tea cup? Sometimes I really think it does.
Gorgeous teacup Snap, I especially love the shape and I like a surprise bloom or butterfly inside when I'm sipping :) I'm always tempted when I pop in Anthro.
Absolutely love the cup and saucer picture, but tea? Yuk! I lost my taste for it in 1967 when my daughter was a bump, and so it has remained to this day, for the most part, though I do drink green tea with lemon, once in a blue moon, when the mood strikes me. lol :)
Hi Snap, some treasures are worth to pay the full price. Your definately is! Thank you for sharing this new tea cup, the wonderful poem and for your sweet comment. Best greetings, Johanna
Hi Snap! Thank you for visit my blog. I've enjoyed your cup of tea. It looks magic!:) The verses about tea of Chinese Mystic, Tang Dynasty are very very suggestive!:)
Beautiful! I love Anthropolgie's teacups, and well everything else they sell! This one is gorgeous! I drink my coffee out of one of their gorgeous cups each morning.
Gorgeous cup! I would have fallen in love with it, too! I love your new banner, so calm, it reminds me of my visits to Japan and its beautiful gardens. Happy day! Jacoba

I try very hard not to pay full price for a teacup.

Every now and then that rule takes flight.
I found this cup at Anthropologie and it was instant love.
It is funky.
Wavy edges on the cup and saucer.
Bright colors.
Colorful flowers.
Butterflies inside and outside the cup.
(I drank the tea so you could see the inside.)
Fun aqua colored handle.

It was designed by New Orleans artist Shelley Hesse.

The first cup moistens my lips and throat. The second shatters my loneliness. The third causes the wrongs of life to fade gently from my recollection. The fourth purifies my soul. The fifth lifts me to the realms of the unwinking gods. Chinese Mystic, Tang Dynasty ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I love their cups -- mugs -- each is so unique. The design on this one is like a Monet painting. :)
April 23, 2013 at 11:42 AM
Yup! Nothing will make you lose your religion faster than a teacup at Anthropologie. I can see why you wanted this one, so beautiful and unique.

Simply beautiful teacup and saucer. Anthropologie is chocked full of rule breakers - I think it is nearly impossible to walk away empty handed.

Hi Snap,
Your teacup is so pretty! I believe rules are made to be broken ... lol. It is ok to treat yourself :-)

What delicate tea cups -- and lovely colors. Wishing you well, too!
April 23, 2013 at 10:16 PM
The little blue butterfly on the inner edge of the cup caught my eye right away, and if I had seen this teacup I would have bought it too!
It just makes me happy looking at a picture of it, sipping tea from it must be a delight. A tranquil delight.
April 24, 2013 at 2:51 AM
It makes me happy to look at the daffodils next to the beautiful teacup, even in a picture...I can imagine how you felt in 'real life'.
April 24, 2013 at 9:46 AM
That is a very lovely teacup! I can see why you love it :)
Love the quote!
April 24, 2013 at 11:14 AM
As soon as I saw the picture (and before I had read any of the text) I thought this looked like an Anthro cup.
They have one that I've been eying, but since I'm downsizing the mugs/cups I can't quite justify it.
Enjoy yours!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. If you try the coleslaw, let me know what you think. :-)
