I think if it wasn't such a ferocious animal, the cheetah would be magnificent!! I respect their speed, stealth and their natural beauty...but I prefer having them in the zoo...make me feel a littler safer (mind you, I don't live in the jungle....lol!!).
Our human loved these photos but we're not sure what we'd do if we came across this fellow, we think we'd be a bit nervous! Great CC! Schnauzer snuggles - JD and Max.
Beauties! And I'm glad you gave us the more common name for that plant with the stunning red flowers, I wasn't even going to attempt to pronounce the latin-looking name.

It's Saturday and that means Critters Day! Be sure to visit Camera Critters to see the other participants.
[Image] Last weekend there was a special photo day at the zoo. The zoo opened early for about 150 folks with their cameras and umbrellas in hand. It rained (lightly, thankfully) most of the morning.
[Image] Under the umbrella, the first animals we came across were the cheetahs. They seemed to love the light rain.
[Image] They have become real favorites at the zoo.

Thanks for sharing! The light rain worked in your favor, I think, by giving soft light for photography.

Great photos! Cheetahs markings always remind me of tear trails along the sides of their noses!

Oh sure! That's one thing I love with cheetahs, their lines on the face, looks like it was painted.
Thanks for the visit.
