OK, I want to move to Texas! I thought Hermann park was in the Dallas area, though. Must be another spectacular park I have in mind, which I visited a little over 10 years ago. *sigh* But it's Texas-like here today - hot, humid, and the sun is beating down. It's pool time!
This is my blog. Its a lovely place, love the koi pond. I crochet too, I specialized in afghans, and prefer to use Red Heart years. Your kitties are cute. I got only one.
I love listening to a waterfall and especially while dining...just makes the meal that much more special. Great pictures...I can see why you like to go here!
What a lovely place to eat. Such a great outlook. Yum I would like to be there right now.

Visit My World to see more of our world or to participate yourself!
We can't spend all our time in Hermann Park or the museum district. Eventually we have to eat! I'd like to take you for a midday meal at one of our favorite places. It's not too far from the museums.

This is Baba Yega located in the Montrose area of Houston. Two older houses put together to make this restaurant. Simple fare for vegetarians or carnivores.
[Image] We got there early to take a few photos. It fills up fast.
[Image] But the real reason we love Baba Yega's is the garden. We try to get a table on the enclosed porch so that we can hear the waterfall.

There are koi in the pond.
[Image] There's a waterfall and several fountains.
[Image] This looks back to the covered porch. A very popular place!
[Image] There are small sculptures hidden in the garden. This funny little pig is one of my favorites.

I hope you enjoyed your midday tour!
