umm... i don't think any of the Sega [God rest it's soul O:-)] Megadrive fanbois picked up a NDS or a Wii, mainly because they all turned blue then exploded the moment they saw sonic on a 'tendo console...

I was a bit of a Segaboi myself, when I first came to .uk and got an excellent (but short-lived) DreamCast. For that reason I was only going to get the xbox when it came out, but then I played a demo of Luigi's Mansion in HMV running on good old 'cube and that's when I realised that The Big N had won me over...
I ended getting the xbox about a year later, having gotten the 'cube at launch..
funny, I got the 360 about 3 months after release, while the Wii came launch day.
Anyhow, looking forward to you being online in some game or another, hopefully a 360 :p
India: i think like Ali said some of us migrated to the XBox with ShenMue. now THAT was a joy.
i really really liked Sonic, all 3 parts.
oh and i;m really not a TRUE Sony Fanboi, cuz i do appreciate other consoles. i did have a Dreamcast at one point :D its just i am loyal to Sony since FFVII. these days i'm just waiting to settle down b4 getting ANYTHING. i dont want to lug a lotta consoles around if i'm traveling.
Shenmue, huh? back when i had an xbox i wasi told it was good so i started playing it but my copy would fuck up early in the game when i had to arm wrestle that guy in the warehouse...
i never got to FF, until a short while ago when i played the NDS port of FFIII... it was rather enjoyable till i got to the point where i had to change all or some of the characters' jobs... i mean at that point the current jobs' levels were so high, it bummed the fuck outta me having to submit to that scenario requirement... haven't played it since then.

Mario and Sonic, the pinnacle of 16bit rivalry and loads of play-ground arguments, are to appear together (for the very first time) in a game! Mario And Sonic At The Olympic Games is a Wii/NDS title by Sega, and that's all we know. Do they compete in normal games or does it require Mario to try and do some gravity-defying 360 loop-the-loops or Sonic to pick up turtle shells and PUT WEIGHT ON?
Who knows. But finally SNES and MEGADRIVE Fanbois can bury the hatchet and play a game featuring their favourite mascot. Whether it's any good remains to be seen, if it isn't, I double Nintendo's fat plumber will be affected, it's the blue hedgehog that's been getting a load of shit lately.
