I was thinking that (twice also!) too, but guru3d have a great review of QUAD SLI, and seem to give it the thumbs up IF you use 2560x1600. I'd love to play all games at that res, so why not ;)
I know I know I've been stung before - but that was 4 years ago when SLI was a baby, using the crappy 6 series, AND on an AMD-shit-platform.
I was wondering that too, debating either ebaying them or keeping them for future "kitchens"... until I realised that the great CEX (computer exchange) has opened a branch in Ipswich, so I might take them there instead.

Gonna try and fit all this crap in the armor junior case. Will mean that the Raptor X won't be on display anymore, but that'll free me up some 5.25 bays for lots of other things.
Might need an IDE2SATA convertor (there's no way I'm abandoning my Pioneer 111D burner), not sure if the mobo has IDE or not...

I'm getting that same mobo but I'm sticking with a dual core E8400 CPU. Oh, and it does have one PATA port.
