745. A photographic flash. The fan-like bit deploys around the hub to make a psuedo parabolic reflector and a one use flashbulb goes in the socket in the hub.

744 - Sharpener for core hole borer. Pointy, tapered edge goes into the hole borer, is turned, and the knife blade sharpens the borer.

746. 3 1/2 inches tall...an adjustable prop or support or holder...maybe for things in a kiln/furnace/heat treater or the like?
A prop for corpses used by morticians?

Nope, it's too small for that.

749. It looks like it could have been a gas lamp escucheon. the large hole might have housed a parabolic mirror.
Just a guess.
