It's a thirty minute long Goldbergesque set-up using chemical reactions, fireworks, water, common household objects, rigged contraptions and much more in a domino type sequence of continuous motion. Correct, it's half wood screw and machine screw

Yes, I hadn't heard the term whiffletree before, others have said stated that it's a singletree end piece, both are correct.
