I would so love to wade in that creek in the summertime. or even in the winter with boots on... i love a small creek like this. we had one this size behind our house in KY and on the side a much bigger one... brings back memories of rocks and water.
I am so glad for your canine companionship as you go about the work of maintaining your farm, what a great life they have with you! I never cease to be amazed and amused by how different the personalities of or furkids can be from each other. I scoff at anyone who thinks they don't have spirits of their very own!
Lovely photos . I love having Miggs by my side all the time she really keeps me company and keeps me laughing with her silliness lol ! Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !
We all have our druthers about getting wet. Glad your waters are receding a bit. That was some rain we had. Think of you each time I see the Amazon, "Little Man" commercial with the mini horse.
Ah yes, sweet little Lizzy is very wise, (I'd follow her footprints for sure anywhere) but Bonnie fears nothing, and I might not follow all of her jaunts, but they are sweethearts all the way! What a fun hike this was too, my feet are still dry!

The skies were blue and the water had receded.

We, meaning me and the dogs,
[Image]
began our damage assessment.

Lizzy didn't like where I crossedÂ
so she just followed me from across the creek.

Bonnie had no trouble crossing anywhere.

The difference may be the eighty pounds Bonnie weighs
and the fact she loves water

Or it could simply be Lizzy is VERY selective.

Your creek water is so pretty, Gail, and fun to see the dogs enjoying it.

It's funny how some dogs will just splodge through water and others tip toe - Elliot is a tip-toer like Lizzy.

Well Lizzy looked like a wolf on my iPad. Is a dog walk the same as a cat walk? Hee hee.

Gail, have you had flooding where you are? Our creeks are still running really high here, and we have more moisture coming in on Wednesday.

I see Lizzy made it into the water. That's a good thing. They both looked to be enjoying the walk.
