Wow I am tired just reading this:) That is a good job done by all even the gopher. My Mom always talked about Chestnut trees growing where she was a kid, alas there are none on our farm. Hugs B
Good morning, I agree good work done by all. I had to look a few times to figure out the first image. There always seems to be some kind of work to be done. I hope you have some fun time too. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!
your work is never done for sure. and there stands your hubby on the edge of the roof just like mine did.. the clear and sunny skies look perfect, except i know it was cold. not everyone can play a guitar with talent and still use a hammer. good job for all of you....love the chestnut pic
I never knew anyone who had a chestnut tree! Good job with the trimming. I found out something when we had the shop painted.....did you know they make a 'roof coating' that has some stuff in it to fill small nail holes, It dries a nice dull color. We are very happy with it. Comes in 5 gallon buckets and can be put on with a long-handles roller. Andrew could do it easily!
I love a good old-fashioned group work party!! Feels good and is fun...oh, and I think you got it wrong. It's supposed to say, "Chet's nuts roasting on an open fire". :)
A job well done! Work never stops when dealing with the great outdoors.

Wednesday was my day to rake and burn. It was partly cloudy and sweater weather for a while. The sun popped out and the sweater was shed.

We had a chestnut tree rubbing on the roof of the shop and the lean-to. Been on our list to get it cut since we cleaned those two out buildings. The day finally came to get it started.

Kubota bucket to the top of the lean-to. First some repairs had to be made. Andrew and Hubby knew what they were doing. So did I. I stayed on the ground and was the official go-fer.

Andrew choked up on the hammer handle but he got the job done. Tin nailed and secured.

Grape vines and chestnut tree

both had to be trimmed drastically

and they were.

A cleared repaired roof line oughta last a few more years.
Finish work and complete clean up tomorrow.
We'll have fire wood and wood for crafting.
Only a million more jobs to go.

You are part of a good team. That is the thing about chores: there's always something. They never end. It is good you all help each other.
