Hello Gail, I am glad you had a fun week visiting with your family. I like to drive slow on the back roads, you never know what you might see standing in the road. Have a happy weekend!
I will watch the video later on my lap too. A "no show" on my iPad . . . I encourage my husband whenever I can to take the back roads I don't like the freeways . . . And he drives slower on the back roads. Sounds like you may have a different story!
Papa and I love traveling on the back country roads . Yes look like your in need of rain there . We had a bit of rain yesterday but not enough to do anything it has been hot and humid here for over a week now . looking forward to some cooler temps as fall is around the corner ! Lovely video . Thanks for sharing , Have a good weekend !
The land there is so amazingly beautiful, I remember it well from the Gator ride we shared with you, what fun it was! What struck me the most was how well you fit there, it was so clear that you belonged.
How fun that all his sisters visited. I love it when my siblings get together.

Almost a week of visiting with Hubby's four sisters had ended as they all returned to their homes. Lots of laughter and good food. We are tired but contented.
One day we traveled the back roads, Hubby and I, in the Gator to the local sister's house where we gathered. You can tell we need rain badly. The last slides are a creek that usually fills the road we crossed but not this day.
Here's a slide show of curves, hills and countryside I could barely take as Hubby flew through ten miles of back roads.

That was fun. I prefer the backroads and always take them to go to town. It sounds like you had a good time, too.

You do live in beautiful country! We don't have dirt roads anymore in Greene Co. Not nearly so scenic when they are paved. Did you meet much traffic?

So glad you had such a great time with family. Loved that you had the dirt roads to yourself. Especially liked the shady part.

We too are akin to taking the back roads. You do live in a very beautiful part of your country.

We saw a lot of countryside today, too; but I didn't take pictures.
Glad your trip with the wild man went well!
Have a blessed Sunday, Gail. ♥

Gail,
I love your slide show of all the dirt roads, reminds of the red dirt roads of Oklahoma.
