Aw. I feel so bad for the animals dealing with this heat. We just had 3 rounds of severe storms, it was quite interesting. Thank goodness it dropped the temps 17 degrees, from 104 to 87, within an hour! Feels wonderful outside now.
Had to laugh - I saw the Melbourne and at first thought you were in Australia. LOL
Aww that was so sweet. I love this time of year, all the babies on the farms. You've been taking some beautiful pics Gail :)

So glad you found them and were able to help them. Hopefully the temperature will give you a break soon. We've actually had cooler than normal weather here in PA up to this point. But we have had a ton of rain...
I'm glad you found the cow and calf. I hope they are both doing alright today.

A cow escaped! We tracked her down and found her and her new calf doing quite well. Today we were going to move her to the correct pasture.
Finally found her, hot, miserable and understandably uncomfortable.

She was not too concerned that we would find her baby and proceeded to cool off.
[Image]Of course the heat index is still three digits and we were soaking wet and picking ticks by the time we found baby.
Now you see her...

Now you don't!

Good mama! Hid that baby well!

Yikes! I remember those nursing days so well. Owie. Hot...and engorged. Poor Mama....but what a good mama, too.
Cute calf.

It is too hot out there for anything. I'm glad they are back where they belong and are hopefully cool.
