Icky worms, my dear. So glad you like to use them for fishing. I've only fished once that I can remember and that was with leaches. Ugh!

Did ya get to smell the ozone from the storm?????? That's what I remember most from my helping my Daddy Jack (grandfather) "harvest" worms for bait. The smell of the storm. Hmmmmmmm memories. Chocolate pie sounds good too.

That's the BEST poem yet. Love it and it made me smile.

I'm kind of (a lot) squeamish about worms. I've only fished once in my life, with my family. While my brother kept pulling out fish, I caught nothing. Never wanted to try it again, but I love eating fish!

It started raining last night, and will continue through tomorrow, most likely. The robins are out getting the worms right now. Those Illinois crawlers are great bait. They hold up well! I always fed them to my box turtles, too. I need to go fishing, now.

Gail,

I'm happy to hear you didn't have any tornadoes, just a heavy rain storm. Enough rain to bring out the worms. Are you going fishing today?

MMMMMmmm, mighty good eatin' there. Heeehehehe!!! Reminded me of the Judy Bloom book, "How to Eat Fried Worms."

Good to hear all is well with the storms last night. I've been diggin' in the flower gardens but got rained out. Tons of worms!

I used to release the night~crawlers from fishin' trips in the gardens...they've been fruitful and multiplied!

God bless and have a marvelous day...enjoy those crawlers!!!

Never went looking for night crawlers, wish I had.
Actually, I think worms might have some nutritional value, maybe?

It always makes me smile to think your life is so completely different to mine! I didn't even know people caught fish bait, I thought you bought it at a shop.

We didn't have near the excitement weather wise that you did.

Good thing it was a rewarding rainfall for you. We had thunder storms and lots of rain last night too, and too much lightning and my Misty was frightened till morning. Funny how she does it, even before the storm begins she knows! There was no going outside in all that mess for us.

Whene we had the resort on rainy nights we would all go out hunting. We used a flashlight with a red lens. Someone held the bucket and shined the light and the other people were grabbers and you have to be quick or they go back in their hole! It was the most fun done as a family! :) Oh yes we sold the worms to the fisherman, we kept them in a big tub and feed them oatmeal and paper. In the fall we would let the left over ones loose:)

WE had temps up to 62 yesterday - out in tank top n shorts, surrounded by snow - the melt is here and happening. Hugz to M - Happy Easter to you all.
