this sounds like the movie, The Exorcist, a lot like it. i saw that way back when they made it and thought just how silly the whole thing was. still feel that way. it did not scare me, but the movie wait until Dark frightened me and i still remember it. it is not the things that go bump in the night that frigheten me, it is the HUMANS that do others harm that makes a scary store to me... i bet some body burned the house down and that it wasn't the family.

Hope that family found peace somewhere else. We just never know what is "really" happening inside someone else's life.

Sounds like an intriguing story, and I know of an author who could really make a fabulous story from this. Love the way you ended the post.

Scary. I'm a big chicken about spooky movies- I remember my very first one- and I have searched and searched for this movie to this day so that I can put a name to the one that scarred me for life.

Wow...what an intriguing story! I hope both the the family, and the ghosts, found their peace. By the flowers, I assume the ghosts did. ;)

Yes, I believe. I believe in ghosts, UFO's....I just think we'd have to be highly egotistical to think that we are the only life in the universe. And to me that takes nothing away from my Christianity; it might even enhance upon it, depending upon your point of view. ;)

I don't doubt that these things happen sometimes...truth is stranger than fiction most times. I saw that horrid movie, The Exorcist when I was probably late teens, early 20's with my niece. Good grief, it scared the bejeebers out of us!!! I don't mess with stuff like that, don't want it at all. When I was a child, I routinely had "devil" dreams - nightmares that traumatized me, and they were always involving the devil. They've gone away now that I'm an adult, but I pray routinely where I didn't back then. I don't believe in ghosts. I do believe in the devil and his evil cohorts. God says there's a devil and he has a third of the angels with him. They do a lot of evil deeds here all the time. I hope this family started afresh and have found peace. Spooky story Gail.
