so sorry about your cattle. the field is beautiful. love the frog and glad the hunters missed him.. that is really clear water... you already know i love seeing the dogs belly deep in it
Where did all your cattle go ? Did I miss something here ! Lovely photos ! rainy and chilly here today for us ! Thanks for sharing , Have a good weekend !
It's good Lizzy knows to stay away from the deep water. It's really a great place for them, and for you to relax and enjoy! That freshly mowed grass is something I'm already missing right now. Just love the smell of it!
How wonderful to have springs! Reminds me of the place in the Bible where Caleb's daughter was given land, but she came back to her father and asked for some land with springs as well! Your dogs certainly look like they enjoy the creek!

Autumn reminds us of all the frailties and passing things in life. Hug.
It must seem strange without the cattle. I am not one who likes change, but I know I gain new things from it.
Here's to new things!

From the first spring the water flows to join with the second and third spring to make our creek. I always thought the first was a wet weather spring but it is still flowing enough to fill the branch.

I always talk about how clear the water is but usually the dogs hit it before I get to show you. Here's a clear spot beginning to look like fall. A good gully washer or chuck floater would clean the creek out so it would not get as muddy.

It doesn't stay clean long when the dogs cool off. Deep enough for some to swim. Lizzy is staying away from the deep water and tip toes through the shallows.

The dogs failed to see my tiny frog. There were several jumping in. The dry weather has thinned their swimming holes.

A cowless field with blue skies and mown grass that only deer and rabbits will eat this year is a bitter sweet sight. I'll talk differently when the ice and snow are blowing. Will NOT miss the cattle then.

I am going to go wading in that creek someday and cool off with the dogs. Can we go hunting for arrowheads, please :)

my aunt and uncle in east Texas always called their creek 'the branch'. I never understood why. and what happened to the cattle?

It is a pretty hay field, but you will be so happy to not have the worry about the cows.
I love that water. I think I would want to live down there.

Such clear water! Springs are so fun! The dogs seem to enjoy them! Almost didn't see the little frog.

Goats are tough in all weather, aren't they? Maybe you should let some of them mow your pasture.
Love seeing your dogs, Gail. Have a blesses Sunday. ♥

The clear spring looks so relaxing....makes you want to take your shoes off and walk through searching for rocks and unique items.

I envy you the springs. That is one thing our farm is missing. We have one but it was tamed into a stock tank thing that just overflows into the pond.
Beautiful country you live in!
