I do hope they kept her in hospital until there is some headway on this wound that seems to have gotten a lot worse. I don't understand why the cast had to cover the wound. That part should have been open to get cleaned and air. I'm glad to hear that they are doing that now. Oh dear Gail, I will be thinking of Maria and praying that the leg begins to heal and I am happy to hear she is in less pain. Please know I am thinking of you all . lol

I hope leaving the wound open helps it to heal. I'm really glad her chest is feeling better.

Oh my . . . such a "trip" this has been . . .
Hug her from me, won't help much but let her know I am caring about her having to endure this dreadful time!

Perhaps now the wound will heal without a cast. I have to wonder if casting it caused bacteria rather than exposing it but hey, who am I? Great news on her chest wound...:)JP

At the time you talked about it, I wondered about them enclosing a wound in a cast. Usually they want fresh air on wounds. Maybe they left an opening of some kind.

I do hope this will be her last surgery and she begins the healing process again. My thoughts are with you all.
