I so love your critter photos Gail, always something interesting going on there at the farm, although come to think of it I see similar scenes to this in the office some days :-)
We had a whole flock land out in the field across from the house. It was about sunset and I thought they were looking for a place to roost. I really enjoy seeing them. Is that one guy storing up sunlight? I love when they do that.

and the hawk will not leave much for them, we have so many of these garbage clean up crews here, they fly over our yard every day...
