Good Morning - Beautiful Sunny Day here - we are preparing a picnic lunch and off to "Who Knows Where" - one of our "JUST GO" days. Been there with the several projects on the go - all the time - can be frustrating. At that point I would just finish the ones that were most impt myself - that is how I learned to do so much. My husband hates when I put dates on stuff with a permanment marker..he also hates it when he finds note that I wrote to him over five years ago in his uncompleted projects:)
You're a much better woman than I. I used to complain and carry on about the way Hubs NEVER completes a project, sometimes he never starts it. He's all talk. No do. Now, I don't say much of anything. But the resentment that has built up is tremendous. I need to find my Zen with this man. Or should I call it Gail instead of Zen? LOL
You should run a school for wives. It would be called, the how to get along and not kill their sorry butts for not doing what they say they will do, school. Or maybe The Oh Hell why bother school. As someone else said, you are a better woman than me. I feel like I'm drowning in folks who say they will but won't. Can but don't. Buy and then throw out because it got ruined waiting to happen....hmmmm gotta go. The little vein in my head is throbbing. XOXO Oma Linda
Seems to be a theme here today...Hubby's that don't get around to it...I've got one too...unless it's his special project and he's buying something special...it might as well not even be there...won't happen...sometimes if I start working on it, he'll join in...sometimes is the word here though...oh well, can't shoot 'em can we? We just need to be happy with hugs...

I jump in and just do things myself or it would never happen 'round here. In Farm Boys defense, he goes to work before daylight and get home often after dark. On those days it's light, he works on the farm. Saturdays and Sunday afternoon are used to catch up on farm stuff so honestly...I don't know when he'd get 'round to it either.
Heeheehehehe! Besides, I've learned to love power tools!

Several weeks ago, we purchased plywood at a pretty penny to repair some weak spots in the lodge. Well, the hubby has repaired maybe four square feet then he wandered off to fence building. I'm gonna write a date on this plywood to see exactly how long this project takes to completion.
I don't complain, it is a waste of energy and too negative in a world full of negatives. On the other hand with the plywood laid out in my computer room floor with all its wonderful arches and bows. I do get a little frustrated. When my computer chair rolls me completely under my computer desk and I have to hold myself away with my feet, I get a tad frustrated. When I rise, the computer chair rolls wildly across the plywood and ricochets off the wall. I am totally discombobulated.
I was thrilled when he had completed one area. I proceeded to paint a section in Andrew's bathroom and about half way through, I realized there are no vents. Now, vents are an essential part of our floor heating system. So at this point the partially painted floor boards have no vent outlets. I quit.
On the brighter side, the cows have a pasture filled with green grass for their tremendous pleasure.
After moving the cattle, hubby mowed the yard, partially. All you farmers know how important perimeter fences are but hubby puttered along making groups of fencing so he can rotate the cattle and the grass will not be over grazed. Pasture Management 101 was a class missed by hubby. When his erratic fence joins into a nice whole pasture maybe he will realize I have been a farmer far longer than he has. Maybe, just maybe, a light will go off and he will know I was right.

I am still waiting for my hubby to finish repairing the porch railing that he started fixing about 4 years ago.
It's been so long I forget, haha.
He does finish the mowing when he starts though.

It must be very frustrating is all I can think. I'm glad I live a very somple life by myself. I don't have to get mad at anyone.
