what is it that is poking out? smiles. ha. yes it takes much more than nudity to really know someone...something high school boys dont learn til later in life...ha
So, this is a crawdad - OK - neat - looks like a little lobster to me. I expect you eat them the same and cook same. I have seen people catch them and eat them on internet. Are these in your creek and do you catch them. Buck Naked maybe, but one still does not know me either :) Nicely done
I may stand buck naked
But you'll never see my soul
Glimpses
Or hints of who I am
Will peek out
Only to run quickly
And hide
When you look
I may stand buck naked
But you'll never see my soul

That's so true. Some folks will never know us no matter how close they think they are. Loved this.
Have a fabulous day. ☺

Just something about being buck naked...

Ah yes. Being physically naked seems less naked than to be emotionally or spiritually seen. Well done!

I love the way you write...prose or poetry. I like the way your mind works. Oma Linda

Like the refrain ~ There is a difference to being naked and revealing one's soul ~

Never, ever give all of self away . . . buck naked reveals flesh, not soul . . .

Profound prose in your writing.

I loved the defiance of this poem, it is my anthem too. What you see... there is so much more to me that you will never know!

Ha! I really like this.

It's always good to hold a little back, isn't it?
(And in my case, the buck naked thing ain't what it used to be...)

"Defiance"--such a great summary! I love this poem. It shows such personal integrity.

Very good! Although who wants to see your soul when we can see your who-ha?
JUST KIDDING!!! ;)
