perfect and oh so true for your part of the states... i will try to write one about us. did you like it? i drew a total blank... we have not had to turn on the heat since last January, yet. maybe this coming week.
Gail, I'm not pulling up anything on your new post except comments. Can't see the post. Maybe it's on my end, everybody else seems to be able to see it ok.
Great imagery! I can just imagine what your winter is like. Mine, on the other hand, would have that darn cat holding on with its sharp teeth to summer. Good Lord it's just never going to leave this time around. We're in the 60s today. UGH.

Good morning, I am hoping for a mild February! I could skip winter and not miss it. Happy weekend!
January 9, 2016 at 5:52 AM
That fits, because if we are going to get snow and real winter weather, it hits in February.

Really true . . .

I am holding on . . .

Lovely, how such perfect images come to life!

I think winter is more like a mouse that sneaks into your house when you are not looking and leaves snow turds everywhere lol.

I like the cat metaphor. Much harsher than Sandburg's fog creeping on little cat feet.

I love its fangs, but not all the time--winter can be relentless--lovely write Gail! stay warm

Winter bites all right... and we're getting our first serious 'nip' starting tomorrow.

Oh, this is so good! I can really visualize that. Although here, it starts earlier and lasts longer!

There are no pictures today just a few words but it's all showing for me.

Well done, Gail! :)

The big cat can release its grip here now! I'm kind of tired of winter and the cold, cold, cold we have been having!
January 9, 2016 at 9:50 PM
Perfect analogy, Gail. Have you ever seen a hibernating tiger or lion?
