Dentists are so disliked that as a result they have a high suicide rate.

I always want to run screaming from the dentist office as soon as I walk through the door! My heart races, I feel woozy and I want to throw-up!

Odd you should post this! LOL I just went to the dentist today. It was just for a cleaning though. But like you, I can not concentrate on no book! LOL...I had laughing gas once. It was ok. I did not laugh. But it took the edge off. LOL If you stop and think about it....Dentists these days are pretty painless. I think it is actually the thought of someone getting in your mouth! The numbness afterwards is worse than all of it! LOL (Well MY DENTIST is practically painless anyway).

I am going to have a tooth filled in two days time, so I am trying not to think of dentists!

You sure aren't going to hear I love the dentist from me. It has to be my least favorite place to go. I would rather get a cortisone shot in my back than go to the dentist.

I went about a month ago, and was so nervous the numbing stuff didn't take and I had to wait a week and come back, then at Walmart the numbing stuff worked and the whole side of my face swelled up. Funny. We ran into a great friend of ours that LOVES to talk, and there I was feeling like I'd had a stroke! I felt like a whimp that I couldn't have my teeth pulled and had to wait, then hubby said he ALWAYS has to have gas to have anything done and I felt alittle braver. (the gas did the trick the second time-I can still taste the numbing stuff:)

Don't you just love it when the dentist asks you a question when your mouth is full of equipment, fingers and cottonwool and your whole jaw is numb...and at the end of it all he tells you to spit into the basin....dribble, dribble....!!!
