It looked like a great day...and all the sun looked quite nice...could you send some of that my way...we are having nothing but rain, rain, rain!! Loved the dragon flies!!
I used to like going fishing, I even cleaned the fish. Now I can't believe I did that. It was in another life. I was different then. People change. I eat my fish out of a can now, but I do like fresh salmon. Pineapple upside down cake and a brisket, are you trying to give him a heart attack?
Sounds like a wonderful way to enjoy Father's Day. Wow, too hot for fishing at 11 am?? Not here, we're re-experiencing spring. We've been having very mild, even chilly evenings and the occasional rain shower. Great riding weather though!! I keep thinking about how long the winter was, and how everyone in blogland couldn't wait for spring...and here it is summer already. Will someone please tell time to slow down already!!??
I remember fishing off the dock at Grandpa's in Ark. when we would visit. I loved catching the "rainbow" fish as I called them. I think they were perch though. Good memories. I loved going back to Ark. each summer. It looks like everyone enjoyed the day.
Sounds like a pleasant Fathers Day. The dragonfly photos are very good! And the button willow....unique!

Hey, one day without lots of work!!! I lost count of the fish we caught but we kept every one. We had bass and very large sun perch. It was fun although it was hot. We have many stocked fish ponds but rarely take the time to enjoy them. [Image]Den and Marcy are quite the devoted fisher people. I, on the other hand, was taking pictures as I fished. Sometimes this is difficult to do both proficiently. The Dragon Flys were out in all their glory. I tried to catch them in mid flight but I am not quick enough. [Image] You can see the refections in the water behind the dragon flies.
[Image] The Button Willows were starting to bloom.
[Image] Some one is after my Dr Pepper. [Image]It was so hot, the sweat dripped and I was blinded. I am surprised I did not fall in. We called it quits about 11Am and headed to the house.
I did not forget it was Father's Day and cooked Den two of his favorite dishes...pineapple upside down cake and beef brisket. He is now happily napping in his recliner with a full stomach.
