Loved this Gail. I think life should be a mix / balance of colour and monochrome ... if things are all the same life can be all the same. We need to experience everything.
Have a great week ahead.
All the best Jan
PS I like the new header.

Great quote. Was it part of the prompt or your reaction to it? Good poem.

Ah, but when we dig out those dusty old memories we see the colours again and put flesh on those dear old bones.
Oh my, I love, love, LOVE this! I have some deep (family) stuff going on in my life and this totally sent the tears and smiles into play. From the photos to the words, bravo!
A beautiful take on the prompt .. a joy to read. Bastet

"I'm restless. Things are calling me away. My hair is being pulled by the stars again."--Anais Nin
This is the picture prompt from Mindlovemisery's Menagerie
MONOCHROMATIC
When your world
is but one color
flowers are empty
I remember child hood
and believing
in dandelion wishes
Swinging high
to touch the clouds
bicycles were freedom
Colors fade to one
memories in a dusty box
are bones of the past

This is remarkable Gail! I love that you used every aspect of the collage even the color scheme to influence the mood of the piece.

I used to believe in dandelion wishes and wishes on stars. Now I have a lot of boxes of allegorical bones and some literal vessels of ashes.

It is sad that the memories of the world we once knew have already become memorabilia of the past.
