Lizzy was smart.
Mutts make the best pets. Shame people think animals are disposable.

Alone time with Lizzy - dogs just need that sometimes and so do people. I am sure that time you spent swinging on the porch with her was special for both of you. How long does the skunk smell last on a dog Gail - I have forgotten as skunks usually pass by the house but never stay. One did die in a neighbour's barn last year and I can still get whiff's of it when we get rain and wind. I guess when its sprayed in wood, it might take quite a while for the smell to go.
Nice photos of the adoptee's; your Ki-Anne n Lizzy. You were the lucky one girl, eh :)

That Lizzy face is adorable . . . happy you were able to catch that "throw away."

Tyke is from a shelter and he's the best dog I've ever had, but possibly that's because I am his only owner. I mean, there are no other people here to mess him up. I get to raise him all by myself. Lizzy and Ki are sweetie pies.

I have a skunk bucket ready to go all the time. 1 Quart Hydrogen Peroxide, a little dish soap and about a cup of baking soda put it on the dogs, it may change their hair color but it sure cuts the smell...good for Lizzy staying on the sidelines:)

My type of dogs, are someone else' throw away. It's sad someone would throw a dog away or any pet.

I just love dogs of any kind. Look at those two adorable faces Ki and Lizzy. To precious :-)

All of our dogs are rescues and throw aways! our Biggest one was beaten nearly to death and then tied to a tree and left to die. He's the most awesome dog, 160 lbs and lives and travels with us in our 5th wheel and everyone who meets him loves him! Except the guy that broke into our camper in NY--that guy got a surprise! All 3 pugs were throw aways too. Love all of them--we've always had refugees--except one--and been very happy with them.

On another subject--Do I spy a solar mason jar lamp there????? I have one just like that from Lowe's and it is so neat! Mine looks like old mercury glass and the light at night is lots of little pin lights shooting out all over! I just love it! :)

Ki-Anne looks like she's apologizing, or feeling sorry for herself, in the last picture.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, Gail. ♥

There is nothing more peaceful than lap time with a furry friend, a bit of rain just makes it that much nicer, wish we'd have some here! Both of these girls shine with love and good care, KiAnne will surely be happy when she is less "odoriferous" soon! :-)
