That's an interesting take, and homing in on just the feet gives a very different perspective. I like the idea of life 'kicking out' too. There's a certain defiant tone.
all i know is now i feel better since i see Venus had fat legs...who knew. there is a S Dali museum in St Pete about 30 miles from here. you amaze me with the words you think when you look at something. when i looked at it i thought nothing. except the fat legs thing
You are so right how everyone sees it differently. I like how you focused on one area. I never thought to look at the prompt other than the larger picture.

Venus and The Sailor, 1925, by Salvador Dali is our artistic prompt from Tess Kincaid this week. A delightful exercise and definitely a challenge.
I chose few words and an even smaller portion of the picture.
I am always amazed at the multitude of wonderful creations that are born from the same visual prompt.
Thanks, Tess!

Life kicks out
Crying out to be lived
There are no sounds
The Sands silence them.

Yes, sand silences so much...perhaps that's why I love the beach!...:)JP

I like the idea of choosing a "portion" of the painting to write about. That's neat! Nice job!

I definitely like the portion you picked, and what you wrote is pretty brilliant, I think.
Have a good week, Gail. *hugs* ♥

Being silenced by the sand has so many meanings, but to me I feel as if they aren't at rest. I love your little poem!
