I love fall or autumn, and have my blower out all the time to remove unwanted leaves out of the way. Daily we have a pile outside the back door and along our fence near the porch.
Yes, each season is made by God and beautiful in it's own way. Reminds me of the hymn "For The Beauty Of The Earth". I happened to see a beautiful picture on the bottom of your blog, under "You might also like" So I read it. It is a painting by you of psychedelic mushrooms. It is beautiful, I LOVE it!! You can really PAINT! Now I am thinking this is what you should do in the deep days of winter.
Well I do hope you get the moisture you need. A hard frost is good for the trees now they can rest. We have snow not the moisture you would want :) Hug B
Spent some time in the front of the house this morning, brushing those leaves out to the street. The city will be by to pick them up later today. Next we will need our blower to get the leaves out of the rocks and into the street from under the four oak trees.
With hundreds of acres of woods behind our home, we gave up raking years ago. Come spring, I just start mowing the leaves and grass appears MOST places after a few mowings.

We here have always called it fall cause it is the season for the leaves to fall lol ! Lovely photos , Our fall is done weather wise now and now old man winter has begun to settle in . Oh I love my leaf blower it also converts in to a vacuum mulcher makes life that mush easier when it come to cleaning up the leaves and yes we love all our trees to for they provide so much for us and the birds . We've been raining practically non-stop since October first and we're just wet and warm and awful...your dry soil and leaves look wonderful to me! We still haven't even had a single frost, no crisp fall weather here. Makes me cranky... Happy Thanksgiving Gail. And yet, as you are with your trees which make so many leaves and clean air for you to breathe. I am thankful for the water, because not having it would be so much worse. So, I am thankful for the rain. *sigh* :)
You are a busy, busy, busy bee! Trees are one of the most precious things on this earth. I love them. We've planted 4 in our backyard since we moved here.

Killing frost has reached our valley.

The leafs rained down.

There are many more to fall.
We have mowed, mulched, raked, carried and blown leafs. My water gardens look like compost piles! Hubby was kind enough to buy me a leaf blower, a new tool for me. It makes clearing around the water gardens easier.
The compost/worm pit is full. Plants are mulched. The dogs are enjoying the large piles of leafs I haven't placed yet.
The work continues. I'm grateful I have so many beautiful trees to make oxygen for the sweet country air I enjoy every day.
We're extremely dry here. I'd enjoy a wet rain from the skies but this is part of the seasons. I embrace it.

We have had to pick up a ton of leaves from our small garden too. Bet that leaf blower makes the work a lot easier.

We actually had rain in the night!! Don't know how much, but is was unexpected. Pillows Lawn furniture are wet, but they repel water well.
I love the smell after rain.
