I have quite a few frosty highlights myself. Who ever thought I'd be kinda trendy some day :) We're saving some bucks now Gail, and I'm not covering them up.

I don't know when I will be natural. I talk about it all the time. But, my daughter and hair stylist jump me. they tell me I will look much older. Well who wants to look older. Not me. So for now I will torture my roots.

I love Lil.

I've started getting highlights in my hair, too. I've never died my hair. Got perms twice in my life and that was it. Otherwise it just takes care of itself, haha.

Nice post. :-)

The best thing I ever did was let it all grow in naturally. It took awhile, but looks awesome. The only thing I ask myself is, what took me so long?

I've got teeny highlights that brighten up my hair. They make it sparkle and I'm glad I don't color it anymore. No roots that grow out and just a haircut every 6 weeks.

I have a few of those frosty highlights too. I wish I could skip the salt and pepper look and go all white. Grey just looks old, while white seems more nice and grandmotherly somehow:)

I dyed mine for years too..until one day I thought "NO! I am not going to pay that kind of money nor am I going through that mess!" And I stopped. Cold turky.
Frosty highlights? :) I look like someone dumped a bucket of snow on top of my head..but I don't care. My days of...NEEDING to feel younger than I am have gone. I am growing more comfortable with who I am by the day!

To be honest here...a lot has to do with blogging. The kindness that has been shown to me over these past two years ...has helped me get through my insecurity of going gray in a world that really has not favored older people.

Thanks for this post, Gail! :)
YOU be a VERY smart woman! :)

There's a reason why gray hair makes you look old -- because you are! :) I stopped coloring about 6 months ago. It's going to take a long time to grow it all out, but that's alot easier and cheaper than a once a month dip and clip.

You are very lucky to have not so many grey hairs now. I've had almost white hair since I was 40 (30 years ago now)- I must have looked ancient but maybe, just maybe, I still look the same!

Happy New Year to you and all your family.
