When I see gulls on the water I always think of Nemo...one of those movies I watched over and over and over with my grandkids. Perfect prose for the prompt.
I can remember being in such a boat with my Dad n Uncles n brothers fishing down in Shediac, New Brunswick. That was a lot of work and you are right, they did share:)
Love the art. Didn't even check the Magpie this week. Now I'm sorry I didn't!

"Drop one, drop one"
They chantedÂ
In their outside voices
The leader held them back
With wings and words
"Fishermen always share
Learn patience"

Oops, I'll be back, as I never read any Magpies until I write my own!

Seagulls are forever optimistic I find, persistent and loud. Nicely written.

Interesting pictures, and very well done. Those fishermen have their hands full with the load of fish and all those noisy gulls.

I like this "Drop one"! Indeed, reminds Nemo with "Mine! Mine!" ~ The patience - important! :)x

This reminded me of Nemo too. It made me laugh. Wonderful poem.

Gulls seem to appear out of nowhere when there's food to be had. Clever thoughts from the bird's view!

Loved the idea, Gail and the delivery .
Nice lot of fish - I'd want chips and mushy peas too.
