And everyone breathes a sigh of relief. The splintered wood is gathered and leaves raked, electronics repaired and the most important thing of all is that everyone is safe and unhurt. Blessings in abundance!

That was a huge storm. I am so glad your car wasn't hurt.
Water is a gift. We haven't had any rain in so long that it must be so nice to see a storm.

When storms damaged our yard in VA, clean up was a nightmare...but it was so worth it. The same thing happens here in CT as evident by our lush green woods!...:)JP

A big AMEN to that last line of your post !!
So glad your house didn't get hit by the lightening strike. We are having an early fall here for the next few days but I have a feeling we will pay for the record breaking low temperatures.
Blessings

Glad the water goes down quickly.

So far this year, we have had the rain, but, blessedly, no bad storms.

Glad your water goes down quickly too. Ours doesn't as our extremely high tides play with that. If you have a flood on low water, then the extreme high tide of 24-36 feet is really going to change the flood in the worst way ever. I love the photo of Lizzy on your new sandbar and fences can be mended, Eh. Did you find any new arrowheads?
