I know...I've pondered this since I was a little Farm Chicklett. How the heck do animals sleep standin' up!!! I'd fall flat on me face!

Heeeheehehe!

Bet ya had to make like an FBI agent and be really sneaky to snap these beauties!

God bless ya and have a fantastic day sweetie!!! :O)

Now to me animals laying down means bad weather is a coming. Wonder if your readers have ever heard of cow tipping? :)

And I still love that palomino!!

You're right about having to sneak up on the horses to catch them napping. I have very few pictures of my guys in repose. Your shots are great. I love the nose propping up the head! It's also fun when they roll down onto their sides... but then, they do look kinda dead and it's scary!

I've always wondered how they sleep standing up, too. Maybe it was an adaptive defense mechanism at one time?

Sshh! Don't wake them! That first shot is adorable. Hey - do horses snore? I know they SNORT, but do they snore? Inquiring minds want to know.

I think horses lying down sleeping are so endearing. You don't see that very much. They must have really been relaxed. XOX
