I enjoy reading about your life. It is still very full. You always make the best of what you have been given Gail. I think that is what draws me to you, because you never give up. Have a lovely Saturday.

Our outings are the same except Mark still works. Not much longer though, I hope. I can't wait for retirement.

hehehehe....boomerang children, not my favorites but it is so common right now. we got rid of ours, pretty easily...most friends ask us for advice ;)

that's a shame that you don't "feel" healthy......i am the opposite, i am not healthy but i think i am. i am so accepting of my limitations at 57!!!

Gail - you are blessed and I love that you are positive too!

It was good to catch up on news that happens around you ... the trouble with having lists of 'things to be done' ... I find you perhaps do one or two - even three, and yet mysteriously more has appeared on the list of things that need to be done!
Oh well it keeps us busy.

I think the older we get, we must stay positive and as active as possible and you do that in droves ...so well done.

I do like the picture of the fungi as you started this post.

Good luck to Andrew in his graduation year and good luck and continued good health (or not too bad health) to you and yours ...

I'm sending you best wishes for a good weekend

All the best Jan

That is wonderful news about your sister, Marcy! So happy to hear that. Also, best of luck to Andrew with his graduation. I'm sure that will make him - and you! - very proud. And I do wish you and your hubby good health, so you can continue to enjoy everything you enjoy. I love your upbeat character. One day at a time...

I love this kind of update! All the important stuff that tells us a bit about how you're faring there. Yay for Marcy's great checkup! What does Andrew have planned for after he graduates? Will you once again become an empty-nester? I know exactly what you mean about feeling like you're going downhill, most days we feel the same way, and it came upon us so fast. But, like you there, we take it one day at a time and see what good we can make of it! Blessings to you as the Spring season approaches, may your garden grow and flourish!

Thank you for sharing the broader details of your life.
It makes me 'know' you better and 'see' you in your daily life.

Thank God for your sister's good news.

My DH had a heart attack in 2004 and has never had a recurrence. We feel very lucky that his stents worked so well for him.

I won't discuss my current maladies.

We cannot escape the aging process........we can just be grateful for each day that we are up and about and taking care of business.

Big time congrats to Marcy. I know how those regular check ups can wear on you. That her check ups are getting farther apart is wonderful. I have finally made it to them being a year apart now.
After a certain age, we do become fixer uppers but the good thing is that usually we still can be patched and put back on the road.

Ah, Gail. Thank you for this post, even though I am blessed to be your friend. You are indeed blessed, but you are a blessing to all who know you, too.
I suspect you and Tractor Man will always share your home with strays, both human and critters. Bless your hearts.
I have pondered a post like this. Now I feel it is okay to do it. Thanks.

Ah yes, life is wonderful isn't it! Every once in a while we need blue days just so the happy days are even brighter. But the best part is sharing it with others!
