Nothin' like a cowboy! Sadly, it's been all too many years since I've gone to Cheyenne Frontier Days or the Greeley Stampede. Plenty of cowboy action in both of those places! Also there's the demolition derby, where one can let one's inner redneck come out and have fun. http://poetryofthenetherworld.blogspot.com/2014/11/the-flower-of-my-love.html
I don't dream of men, but I know what you mean. I've seen these men in movies and enjoy the romance of that strength. Nicely parsed, image by image, to build a man.

Amen, Gail. These men are few and far between...and very special.
Hi Gail, Thanks so much for commenting on my blog today. I have missed you... Hope you are keeping Arkansas in ONE HAPPY PIECE just for us.. We love that state SO much!!!!
I didn't find me a cowboy---but I did find the 'bestest' guy in the world for me: smart, compassionate, loving, and he drives a Prius!!!!!!
P.S. Interesting - but on my blog reading list just now I found 3 blogs posts, almost in a row, about dreams. I hope I have a good dream tonight. And pleasant dreams to you.

A great tribute to those type of men who observe gentility and manners. And, cowboys are the best image of that.
Oh, by the way, I listed you as a blogger I would miss if you stopped blogging.

These are the men from Back In the Day. I can SEE him, in your poem, slapping his hat against his leg, a little shy.......well done.

When you find that fella, see if he has an older brother.

When you find a man like that, you have to rope him in, and never let him go! What a wonderful poem! I'm so glad I found you on Susan Kane's blog!

An old view of men, and quite sexist in my opinion. But still politeness is always needed more.

Politeness and chivalry is not dead.
