I love your land Gail - it is so pretty and there are parts of it that make me think of my home here, so I guess its not all that different, just a lotta miles away. I love the photos, each telling their own story and I liked that line "the leaves will stop in places along the way to build new soil". We finished helping our neighbour rake her leaves and bagged them and put them to side of road for town to take and mulch n use - she surprised us with nice hot coffee and sandwiches and home made soup - her soups are the best! Have a great day and hello n how r ya to each of yours :)
what a fun ride, when i saw your foot i thought you were standing on a bridge, until I read the bucket part. that last photo looks like you could walk on the leaves... looks like Kiann was having a blast to...i see old man bull looking happy in his green field
I agree with TexWisGirl - knowing the relationship between you and Hubby - I'd of thought he'd dump you in the water! LOL! Love the photo of all the leaves in the stream! So beautiful!
I love the photo of the leaves covering the water. And your hubby is a stinker and a half.....and I like that. Mine is too. Can't take the boy outta them and I don't know if I'd want to. Once a tease always a tease. SM still loves to make me "clinch". hehehehehe. Oma Linda
Yes,we all have to wait for winter, and I do not like it. But your picture and story about the leaves on the creek, I really enjoyed that. Gosh, falling faster than they can be carried away. Now that I think of it, there is a song title or poem title somewhere in there. What a fun ride!!!
How nice that the leaves are falling like that, I learned something, I never knew they could fall that fast. I read about your settings and I just love the thought of being out like that, How peaceful it must be, Enjoy your day.
You are so brave to ride in the bucket with him at the controls! That is amazing that the leaves fall faster than they can be carried away by the stream.

The cattle are enjoying their return to winter pasture in the valley. They enjoy the fresh running spring and creek, too. Hay is stored...in much better shape than we were this time last year with the drought. California is not the only place that has happy cows.

Going to retrieve my rocks so Hubby offered me a ride through the creek in his tractor bucket. It was a little cool to be playing in water. I gripped with my feet and hands as Hub tilted me forward and backward as you can tell by my white stubby toes. Butt! He was laughing. The splashing ahead is Ki-Anne.

This photo is quite deceptive. Beneath those leaves runs a creek. They are falling faster than the current can carry them away. When the next rain comes they will wash away and we'll see the water again. The leaves will stop in places along the way to build new soil.

With your hubby giving you a ride in the tractor bucket you should be able to find some really neat rock.
Is it turning cold there?

You could get quite a shock if you didn't know that stream was there.
Yes, that does look very peaceful.
