you, soul sister, I have always loved the company of nature to that of most humans I know. Always entertaining and thought provoking a very little arguing involved. I can get lost for hours too. Oma Linda
I, also, love looking at the little things in nature, and trying to snap them with my camera. You truly have a gift, so many people lose their sense of wonder as they get older, and that is a shame.
Distraction is my middle name. I think you would SO enjoy climbing the cliffs and walking along some of my rocky shores, where each and every rock tells a story. Distraction and wonder fill my mind constantly - all for good reason - I'm still learning. Have a wonderful day my dear friends.
i do the same thing, but don't live in the woods or have rocks, but i do have sticks and all kinds of flowers and things in the yard to distract me. you have a wonderful place to find distractions. i would snap myself silly if i lived where you live
I think that rock was there first, but the tree just grew on up around it. Nature is awesome, and I can totally lose track of time wondering at the wonder of it.
These kinds of distractions are good ones. There should always be time on a journey to 'smell the roses' along the way.

Distractions are always jumping out for me. I suspect I may have ATHD...A Thoroughly Happy Destiny. This beautiful sandstone held my attention for five minutes exploring the patterns, the bits of quartz and the wonder of how it was made.
A rock, a bug, a strangely shaped stick all hold interest for me. I can be doing a project and am continually sidetracked to closely examine a pearl of nature.

This fallen tree stirred my imagination. At first I saw a dragon. The rocks embedded in the tree roots made me wonder was it natural or did an ancestor place them there. The death of this tree was already supporting new life.
My curiosity and imagination is constant entertainment for me. I fall through Alice's rabbit hole every day.

Great distractions!!!!
Speaking of nature, it's that time of year again where it's Nature vs. Teresa. Nature always wins. ALWAYS.

It's good to know I'm not the only one who sees animals in everything.

Next time you fall into the rabbit's hole, I'll try to find my own rabbit's hole. Maybe we'll end up at the Tea Party.
