You are such an important part of the flourishing life you have there at the farm, it is as if you instinctively know how to nurture land and critters alike. I know why God has you there... you are his groundskeeper! xoxo
I have little Skinks like that. When I lift up a water container for the animals to clean it out, there are always Skinks under it. I am careful to put it back without hurting them.
You really have nice variety. I only have one frog in my small fountain and it is not the same one all season. Right now, big one is gone and small one has moved in.
I see a skink, ladybug, Praying Mantis, and zebra grass. Cannot find anything in the grass, but it sure is pretty. You are a mini wildlife preserve! So sad that winter is coming!
The caliber of your photos continues to amaze me. Didn't your sister used to take a lot of your pics? No more! You are now more than up to speed to photograph whatever's in front of you.

We have those kinds of lizards.
So, build a pond and the fish will come?

Looking at your water feature makes me want one, but I think I will just enjoy yours and I do enjoy it.

My place would be sitting beside it, listening to the wonderful, peaceful sound of water trickling as I read my book...or take a nap...

Is that a skink? I used to see praying mantises when I was a kid, but it's been a long time. I blame it on the GMO-filled corn field next door.
