I love biscuits, and I love chocolate. What's there to be bad in what you describe. Not a thing.

Have a great day, Gail. A very chocolatey one!

Anything chocolate is okay by me... Your Mom is quite creative! Sounds like a kid's best breakfast EVER. ;)

I had a helper in Kids Church who was raised in Arkansas who was a real southern gal who made her sweet tea the consistency of maple syrup. One day she spoke of biscuits and chocolaty gravy which I'd never heard of and I know of all thing chocolate. The next Sunday morning she served us wonderful warm biscuits topped with a rich steamin' chocolate pudding. MMMmmmmm!

Ya'll have a richly blessed day!!!

I have heard of chocolate gravy, but have never had it or tried to make it. I think you have inspired me to give it a try...=)

Oh sounds yummy Gail. What a lovely trip down memory lane for you. It made me think of my mum and the way she used to bake cookies (biscuits) as well. Have a wonderful day. PS Pop over to my blog in the morning to see my garden post, if you wish. (((Hugs))) Jo

I can't tell you how many of my mother's Appalachian recipes were based on the things of her Depression era/mountain life; with butter, flour, cocoa, salt, and sugar, you could make about anything! I make a killer Appalachian buttercscotch pie and it's like 6 ingredients you have in the larder already. Love your recipe--sounds yums!

How funny! My friend was just telling me the other day that she ate this while traveling through Alabama a few years ago. Sounds delish!

Thanks for answering my question, Gail. I certainly wasn't expecting anything as exotic as this. I'd never heard of it, but it sounds delicious. I think I could eat several of them. I love anything chocolaty and homemade biscuits are the best.
