I like the idea that you can take just about anything and salvage it and make it work into something else. Our world wastes so much - perhaps they should spend time with you Gail and learn to re-use. Wonderful idea.
good bye empty cans and hello storage... great idea, this way it is more balanced and will not turn over when full of your long STUFF.. a way to organize is always good...
That should make you the Queen of the Recycle Club! Very Clever! And the fact that you took the time to paint the cardboard rolls and got rid of paint cans to boot? Amazing!
I love Ivy Leaf and Krylon spray in general. I repurposed a patio table with Ivy Leaf this spring, only to have the storm break it all apart this week. Oh well.
Super brain has done it again.....I love this idea. I have all kinds of dowels, trim, rods etc. Now I have a copy cat whim to make me one. THanks Oma Linda
Some of you may remember the "gig trough" I made when redecorating Andrew's room. I had carpet roll left and it waited for me to create something else.
Circular saw and the rest of the carpet roll meet to form one of my insane ideas. Laundry basket, varying heights of cardboard tubes...where am I going?

They fit!

We can't have plain brown so I gathered almost empty
paint cans and went to work.

Now three empty cans leave my tool closet.

Wired together with a few adjustments needed

Funky tall stuff storage!
It can be finessed and improved
but the idea is working.
Metal rods,
wood trim,
and odd metal have a home
without tipping the basket.
Not bad for a rainy day creation.

Gail,
I like your storage tubes, it's a great idea. It helps get those items off of the floor or shelve (that always seem to fall or get in the way).

those things are so handy. I love seeing what you meant when you told me about them.

Perfect! Did you paint those horses?
