Would love to see a photo of your hard work of your mail box. There are some really nice hand crafted mail boxes. Hubby will be making me one for the house to replace the one we have thats boring looking, when he gets his wood shop later this spring ! Have a great day !

Ah yes, the best laid plans - or not? Grin. Well it's the end result that counts, right? Sounds good and made a great story. ATB!

Now you see why you didn't get any response from hubby! By the way he was only pretending to be asleep in the recliner lol! When some one ran over our mail box on the farm with a tractor we sat a plastic mineral bucket on a concrete block and last time I went past I saw they were still using it, that like ten years its been there so I think you did a good job sticking at it the way you did. I hope you get some nice mail to go in it now.

Gail, you are a woman after my own heart. I would have done the exact same thing. I get determined and frustrated and that is a mix for me to do things the “hard” way. I can just see you out there, covered in paint, walker, boxes, boards, screw driver and yet you pulled it off!! :) Well done!
