Am back, Gail. I just read a memoir called When Broken Glass Floats, about the life of a young girl and her family under the Khmer Rouge. An amazing life, and she rose out of that life of starvation, slave labor and oppression to prove that our spirits do rise.........your lines about the broken glass made me think of that book.
This is both clever and full of truth (some joyful, some dark). Very nicely done.

moon
shines on broken
glass
filled with whiskey on the
rocks
tell the future and
the past
catches up with
men
go to
war
cycle never
ends
of a rain
bow
to the karma
moon
shines on broken
glass

really like how you can pick any word as the start of a phrase just by stringing it to the next line. very creative!

Life is a ball! It will just go on! Only some concerted efforts will make it detour or deflect a little! Nicely Gail!
