Gail, I hope all your wishes come true! ..and I hope you get your camera back..as I would have loved to have seen the photos you would have captured of your icy day. Hoping you are safe and warm and home from work soon!
I saw on the news all the ice many are experiencing today. My daughter in Maryland, who is a school bus driver said school was closed due to the bad weather. I hope you arrive safely to work and back home again. Ice is the worst!
Gail, I thought of you earlier today when I watched the national weather forecast and he said that much of Arkansas was covered in ice. Please do be careful and stay safe. Will send up a prayer for you today...and I had to chuckle over your last post with the chickens. Gotta love Marcy and her warm and very soft heart. The chickens are quite lovely, and I can understand her quandry. She could just give all the roosters away and keep only the hens for their eggs... just a thought.
And I too hope all your wishes come true...especially the camera part. I'm selfish that way. I wanna see your lovely icey nature photos.
You're gonna hate me, but a large part of me doesn't want to see Spring and Summer arrive. It can stay away until I am able to walk again.
I'm afraid how depressed I might become when the weather is perfect to be outside riding and playing with my animals...and I'm stuck inside unable to walk.
Icey days and nights will soon become lush green temptations inviting us to lay in the dewy grasses and count how many cloud animals we can find! We may pray anyway, for this! KK
This is the very saying I said to my kids all the time. They never 'got it'. Oh well! Do you work at the post office? The lady I babysit for does, and she has to work 'rain-sleet-or-snow', but not hurricane warning (and we are 8 to 12 hrs to the coast). Funny, be safe, the ground doesn't get softer as you get older (don't ask me how I know this:)
Goodness!!! I have been trying to leave a comment for two days now. Your comment section doesn't always allow me/recognize me, and it won't let me leave a comment. Anyone else having this problem???
I have been meaning to say that you should keep on wishing!!! You never know when your dreams may come to fruition. And that you need to tell that daughter of yours to get you that camera ASAP...lol!!!
Where ya been?? Looks like I'm not the only one that misses your posts and are starting to wonder if you're okay?? Hope to hear from you soon, even if it's just to say "I'm hibernating" lol
Gail- Gail- Gail Calling on Gail....Pleasssssse let us all know WHERE thou Art! ...Sending >>>SUN<<< NOW!Sending Prayers too..for what your needs may be, He knows! Kacy
I hope you and your family are safe. I'm assuming the ice has knocked out your electric, or we would have heard from you by now. We are all praying for you and hope you are coping with whatever the storm has caused in your little corner of the world.
Ok Gail I have searched the online papers and know of the electric outage. I pray you are ok. I need your phone number. So I can stop worrying. But when you get back I have a special award for you.
Hey Gail...where are you?? I was just kidding when I said you were posting so fast that I couldn't keep up!! Hope you are ok!!

As the ice clings to everything, I dream of spring. The trees are coated with clear shiny ice. The ground is white with sleet and ice. I do not know if I can stand on it, much less walk.
The mail must go through so I will slide to work, salt the sidewalks and hope no one falls. I will be there the entire shift, whether I have one customer or many. Maybe I can catch up on a few things today, hopefully.
My wishes this morning are simple, yet complicated, if I tried to make them come true.
I wish there was no ice and everyone would be safe today.
I wish I was retired so I would not have to go out into this.
I wish my daughter would return my camera so I could take pictures of this beautiful shiny art of nature.

Stay safe Gail. We haven't gotten as much as they predicted us to have as of now. But it's still coming down in freezing rain.

Yes, when I got here I thought how unusual it was to see no pictures in your post.
Please be careful on that ice Gail.
That's something we haven't gotten yet, no snow, no ice, nothing like that at all.
:)
