These are really nice shots! I once watched a caterpillar crawl all the way up to the top of my bird bath, take a few sips of water, and then crawl all the way back down. It was one of the most interesting things I'd ever seen!

I too have watched them in the yard. I watched one, one evening as the sun was setting, crawl up the clothesline pole, get to the top and when the sun set, it crawled back down. I guess the caterpillar wanted to watch the sun set, as I did....:)
