Funnily enough, just this afternoon one of my friends said that Pinocchio was the pantomime (for the whole family) at Xmas in her local theatre but one evening there was to be an adult version staged. I wonder if it is the same version as yours?
Oops, I saw that one coming. I wasn't going to touch it with a ten foot pole (excuse the pun)! I didn't like Alice in Wonderland when I was a kid. I thought it was too weird. It upset my point of view too much. It's a good thing your kids were occupied. Oh. how embarrassing.
You're not going to believe this, but I actually SAW that movie! LOL! I can't remember too much of it - granted it was a porn.
That wasn't right that the lady who sold the tickets didn't inform you. In fact, that was down right low that she didn't tell you.
Don't worry, though, you didn't miss much! LOL!

A comment I made earlier on a friends blog made me remember this.
When the children were young, we use to take them to drive in movies. There were no ratings on movies and you just went to see them. As we drove in, the bill said Alice in Wonderland and Pinocchio, Double Feature...alright, how lucky could we get? The perfect show for children.
We gathered our popcorn and drinks and all the drive-in goodies, placed the speakers on the car doors and settled in to watch a movie with the kiddies.
Alice was sitting on a mushroom/toad stool, having quite a good time. Caterpillar came along and asked what she was doing. Alice said she felt good and she felt bad. Caterpillar said "If it feels good, do it".
Thank goodness, the girls were occuppied with their goodies because with that last line, which I did not remember from the Lewis Carrol version, hubby and my mouths were dropping open.
We replaced the speakers and drove back to the ticket stand. I asked the lady, Did you know it was
That Kind of movie? She answered with a sweet smile, yes, honey and it ain't Pinocchio's Nose that grows either!

What a hoot, in retrospect.

Are you serious! Didn't they see the kids? How awful, but funny--sorry. Did you get your money back at least?

I hate it when they take a kids classic and turn it into something it's not suppose to be leaving parents and Grandparents blushing and embarrassed.
We rented a kids flick on time for our kids at a movie rental and the wrong label had been put on the tape. BIG oops! It was a pron flick.
Have a great day and beware of those classics!!!!
