We call them Frost Flowers. There was an article in the Missouri Conservation Magazine about it a few years ago. Its were it gets so cold it forces the liquid out of the stems really fast and freezes it.. They are Very delicate. Awesome pics!!
I don't think I have seen this. Maybe if I went out side an opened my eyes that would help. LOL. Love your photos. Now I will have to look for this. Thanks.
Okay, so now I feel really stupid. I'm behind in reading your posts, but I'm reading them out of order; newest to oldest. So here I am, all know-it-all, saying, "Oh, we call that hoar frost", and then two posts earlier, you mention hoar frost.
Then I say, "Oh, mother nature is an artist." Then two or three posts earlier you say the same thing. Duh. Next time I'm behind I'll read oldest to newest. Sorry. The old gray mare just ain't what she used to be! LOL!

We just have to look.
I did a post last year on November 27th, with a discussion about whether this was called hoarfrost or rabbit frost. This year's pictures are just as delightful as last year.

I've never seen anything like it. It's an amazing thing. Does this only happen in the US, maybe?

I've never seen HF close up before. It looks like spun glass or cotton candy. So pretty. Thanks for sharing.
