We get a lot of rain at this time of year what with the warm Gulf wind duking it out with the cold Northern fronts. After our long hot dry summer I am trying to still be thankful for rain.

When it rains it pours! We have had a lot of rain this year, especially during the summer. A nice series of photos.
Enjoy your day.

Nice shots Gail! I guess you're right, we should all give thanks for the rain because without it, we'd be in a lot of trouble. However, that having been said...being in western Oregon - we get more than our share of the wet stuff *sigh* and it's easy to forget to give thanks. Take yesterday for example - weathermen are all excited because "the weather's back!!". Torrential rains, wind, even a little tornado (almost non-existent around here). Summer's just a memory now.

I'm tryin' here, really Gail. Hubby keeps telling me not to complain of the rain. I just want some sun, I want the mud to dry up, I want the creek to stop flooding through our pastures, I want my pool to stop overflowing, I want to walk outside without boots up to my knees and a slicker on. Wed. is the only day in our near future without rain predicted. This has been going on over three weeks now. I just need a little sun! Oops, Hubby is nowhere in sight is he?

Ya'll have a fantastic day and please pray for a little sun my way!

This earth would be miserable without the stuff. That said, I'd like 2 days in a row with plain old blue skies and sunshine, please. If possible, this coming Saturday and Sunday.

Love your photos!

We are thankful for all the rain Georgia has had - we went many summers recently where we could not water our garden or wash our cars. It's raining again today!

We get a lot of rain here too and farming is always a fight against the elements in UK. I always called harvest time "high blood pressure season". The combine always had a major breakdown on a beautiful day--but then you do not combine on a wet day!
That is one aspect of farming I definitely do not miss in retirement!
By the way, what do you do in your spare time???

Wow! All that rain. Everything greens up and grows with such life! We could have used some of that rain this summer, but only got maybe 3 good rains. Now I'm guessing that winter will make up for it and dump on us but good! bah!
Too much of a good thing..is just not good. :P
