wow, i never knew its logo is so similar to someone else..... but sometimes quite hard to say, this design is rather too general, the 7 is commonly design to have such curvature and to fit in ntv, u need to put it at the right of the logo, but if u put it plainly, it looks bad, and if u scramb it in, u at least need a background color for it, since the theme here is round, so a circle background is chosen.... not necessary pirated, u can say its a coincidence where ntv-7 didnt do proper investigations b4 designing that logo......

just for your information, NTV7 was basically affiliate with the US team. Even the staffs has to be trained there! So initial plan of the logo was too be somewhere close.
Haha, I came here searching for answers about the pirated logo. Was wondering if they're affiliated in any way. I wonder what would happen if someone told ABC about this.
Doesn't really explain what kind of license the logo is being used based on but I guess Anon. above may be on to something.

I was watching the hit TV-series Lost and I noticed on the top right of the show (where TV station normally put their logo) has a logo similar to that of NTV7. As far as I know, NTV7 is not showing the series in Malaysia and upon closer examination, I found out that the logo belongs to ABC-7 in the United States of America.

Amazing...! Exactly the same, even to the small circle with the ntv word inside. :O Only a week ago, thestar reported Malaysia is the largest producer and exporter of pirated CDs and DVDs in the world, according to the 2005 US Trade Representative’s (USTR) office.
