REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN - September 28th, 2005 - The Canadian Hemp Trade Alliance/ Alliance Commerciale Canadienne du Chanvre (CHTA/ACCC) is holding its 2005 Conference in Winnipeg, Manitoba on September 30th, 2005 at The Greenwood Inn.
The Conference -- open to the trade and public -- will be held on the full day of Sept. 30th at the Evergreen Ballroom at the Greenwood Inn. This year's event is attracting delegates from across Canada, the USA and overseas. Doors will open at 8 AM; session start at 9 AM.
"2005 has been a striking year for industrial Hemp in Canada," says Arthur Hanks, Executive Director, CHTA. "In response to strong prices and robust demand we have seen licensed hemp acreage jump almost to 20,000 acres, both conventional and certified organic. Opportunities are being seized with hemp and this year's conference will have information about all the borders we are crossing: in trade, in food nutrition, fibre development, and the regulatory environment."
As with CHTA's past events, this year's show will be great value for those working in the sector and those who are seeking to evaluate opportunities in hemp.

Food and refreshments to be served at the Conference will include Hemp Coffee, Teas, Juice and fresh hemp baking in the morning, a Hemp Lunch with entrees including a choice of a homemade Vegan Lasagne or Chicken a la King. Our afternoon break will see us fortified with Hemp Coffee, Teas and delicious snackbars courtesy of Living Harvest, Mahem Fuel Bar and Ruth's Hemp Foods.
The nonprofit CHTA's mandate includes market development and advocacy, information creation and distribution, and research. Established in 2003, the CHTA is a national group of hemp processors, marketers, farmers and researchers. Membership is open to all companies active in the Canadian industrial hemp sector.
