I think your cake looks great! I know that however deceptively simple it looks drip cakes are really tricky! I made one for my sons birthday but when I tried for my daughter's 21st it failed. I used Italian meringue buttercream to coat and then chocolate ganache to drip. I added a little copha to the ganache for "dripability". I put a portion into a piping bag then spread some ganache over my buttercreamed cake and pushed it off the edges slightly but the drips came by piping drips quickly before it all sets. I found the second time I did it the ganache was maybe a little too hot. Hope you have some luck next time!
