Great post, very interesting. Many figurative painters seem to end up using a specific model or model type. I always think of Elizabeth Siddal or Wyeth's Helga.

I keep coming back to the St Lucy painting, that face... fantastic. I may have to have her make a cameo in one of my pieces. Why do we all get suckered in to the 'pretty girl' thing? I always thought that when I became skilled enough I would paint a lot of old men and people with interesting noses but my personal work is full of pretty girls. Sigh.
