No matter where they run, someone's going to recognize them and rat them out. Folks who run don't think far enough ahead to see how it's going to end.
When you're on the run, the whole world is a prison cell. It's just a matter of time. No matter who they pay to protect them, they are not LOYAL, they are employees, and when someone else offers more than you're paying, they'll sell you out in a heartbeat.
When the folks down the food chain get locked up and meet Bubba in an intimate setting such as a prison cell, they'll start singing like so many canaries.
They know how the game is played, they've played it on defendants as long as they have been working for the man. The first one to sing, or the one who sings the prettiest song, gets the best deal.
Sooner or later, justice will be done, not necessarily in this world. I'd like to see the lot of them have to learn Spanish in an environment of Spanish speakers. "Te amo, Bubba" might be a useful phrase.
